MESSAGE FROM T.TAKAMI, PRESIDENT OF AAJ

A judgment in the case of a son who was taking care of his mother and murderd her was 2 years 6 months  imprisonment with 3 years probation, which is a penalty less than that initially demanded by the prosecution.

The Chief Justice said that one of the reasons for this murder case was the blunt refusal of his application for public assistance. The Long Term Care Insurance System and the attitudes of civil servants towards the application was a problem.

Although murder cannot be forgiven, I agree with the chief justice’s speech.

The present situation of the government policy and local administration should be held responsible.

Take heart and take care till next month!
