2. AAJ HEADQUARTERS UPDATE <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>AAJ hosted the lectures for World Alzheimer\u2019s Day in Kyoto and Tokyo. In addition, 44 branches held various outreaches such as signature-collecting campaigns, memory walks and lectures in 96 places, and 1800 people participated including kids, the<\/p>\n

mayors and PWDs.<\/p>\n

standing. But I am sick and tired of taking care of my mother. Who can see it from<\/p>\n

*My mother was diagnosed with dementia 8 years ago and is suffering from the aftereffect of cerebral infarction. She eats meals with her fingers. But I don\u2019t care because I think that fingers are useful tools for eating. (61-year-old woman)<\/p>\n

We published a book titled \u201cLive together!\u201d this month. The book consists of 52 short stories of tough experiences of their caregiving written by AAJ members. Each story is a powerful message to cheer struggling family caregivers. I am very proud of the book and thank the members who wrote and sent those precious stories.<\/strong><\/p>\n
