l  DR. Leon A Simmons and others reported that moderate drink and gardening are effective in preventing dementia in their study of 2805 people over 16years.

l  The court of Tennessee certified the marriage between an 83-year-old man diagnosed with dementia and a 48-year-old caregiver in spite of his family’s objection.

The board of AAJ will make a proposal to change the Japanese name of AAJ at the next general meeting on June 3rd . The proposal of new name “ ninnchishou no

Hito to kazoku no kai” means “ People with Dementia and their Families association. One of the reasons for the change is that the present name does not include the participation of the PWDs themselves.
