WHO published the report “Neurological Disorders: Public Health Challenges” on Feb. 27th, which presents seven articles for the improvement of QOL of PWDs and their families.

The 28th Annual AAJ General Meeting was held on June 2nd. The participants discussed the payment for fulltime board members and other issues. At the end of the meeting Mr.Mizuki, PWD, made a speech entitled “Seeking the Fulfilled Life.”

Overnight trip for PWDs carried out by the AAJ Toyama Chapter on May 18th. All participants shared a beautiful landscape, delicious food and friendly conversation. They exchanged frank views such as “all of you are my friends and also rivals,” “I want to work! I have energy but don’t have a job” and “I wonder how I will be from now onward”

Recently the change of the Constitution has been argued in the Diet. But I think it must not be changed. I am proud of the present Japanese Constitution, which pursues the high ideal of world peace. AAJ is seeking an ideal society for PWDs and their families, too. I choose the way of life to strive to realize this ideal.
